On the occasion of the XXVIII CSAV Artists' Research Laboratory Ibon Aranberri questions what is more important, the work or its description? How much does a title add to the work itself? From these questions comes Quaderno del campo, the solo exhibition by Ibon Aranberri.
The artist turns his gaze towards another dimension: not to the direct and conventional relationship between work, place and description, but to the linguistic process of translation that shapes the works in relation to the surrounding context and its definition in the caption.
In this lecture, the artist discusses his artistic practice and the process that accompanies the realisation of his exhibitions, showing a few cases.
