Corso Aperto

EXHIBITION
4 July 2009
Villa del Grumello, FAR – Villa Sucota

More than an exhibition and a presentation of finished artworks, Corso Aperto was a moment in which creative process and artistic research were revealed in their making. This one-day event was articulated in a programme comprising each artist's presentation of his or her own performance, video or sound installation, or in situ intervention.

The day was conceived as a series of ”studio visits ” located in the two venues, Villa del Grumello and Villa Sucota, and as an occasion for the visitors to interact with the participants of the course.

There were moments of theoretical reflections during which some artists presented their work and their poetics in the form of a short talk.

The participant artists were: Rebecca Agnes (Italy), Basma Alsharif (Kuwait/Egypt), Luca Bolognesi (Italy), Emily Verla Bovino (USA), Luiz Mauricio Brandão (Brazil), Antonio Cataldo (Italy), Helen Dowling (UK) , Chiara Fumai (Italy), Silvia Giambrone (Italy), Eric Golo Stone (USA), Jaša (Slovenia), Diego Marcon (Italy), Pedro Neves Marques (Portugal), Mariagiovanna Nuzzi (Italy), Minna Öberg (Finland), Ivor Shearer (USA), Giulio Squillacciotti (Italy), Dan Starling (Canada), Arianna Vanini (Italy), Andrew Varano (Australia), /barbaragurrieri/ group (Italy).
